About my work
Themes and influences
In my paintings, I seek out what’s often missed—quiet places, forgotten paths, imperfect forms. These subjects reflect something personal: the resilience found in nature, the strength in stillness, the healing that comes from simply noticing. Painting has become my way of making sense of change, loss, and growth—an act of presence, and of preservation. Each piece reflects that journey.
Even in still life, there’s a quiet symbolism. A jar of buttons, gathered over time, holds more than just objects—each one different in shape, age, or colour, once useful, now simply present. Together, they form a collection that’s more than the sum of its parts. There’s something quietly beautiful in that—a sense of belonging, of transformation, of things finding new meaning simply by being held together.
